Effective Date: August 30, 2026
Thank you for your interest in the Heather Summers Book Ambassador Program. The program was created to give readers who genuinely connect with Navigating Co-Parenting: Finding Peace, Stability, and Healing in Your Home an opportunity to help share its message while earning a commission on qualifying purchases.
By applying to or participating in the Book Ambassador Program, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Eligibility
Participation in the Heather Summers Book Ambassador Program is subject to approval.
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have personally purchased Navigating Co-Parenting.
- Provide proof of purchase upon request.
- Have read the book before actively promoting it as a Book Ambassador.
- Provide accurate information on the Ambassador application.
- Agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Purchasing the book or submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
2. Verified Reader Requirement
The Book Ambassador Program is intended for genuine readers of Navigating Co-Parenting.
Applicants must provide reasonable proof of purchase before being approved. Proof may include a receipt, Amazon order confirmation, or other documentation showing the purchase of the book.
Applicants are encouraged to remove or cover sensitive information, including payment information, home addresses, and order numbers, before submitting proof of purchase.
Proof of purchase is used solely to verify eligibility for the Book Ambassador Program.
3. Ambassador Discount Code
Approved Book Ambassadors will receive a unique ambassador discount code.
Customers who use an active ambassador code will receive 10% off qualifying signed copies of Navigating Co-Parenting purchased directly through hsummers.com.
Ambassador discounts apply only to eligible products and cannot be applied retroactively to previous purchases.
Discount codes may not be combined with other promotions unless specifically permitted.
Heather Summers reserves the right to modify, deactivate, or replace ambassador codes when necessary.
4. Ambassador Commission
Approved Book Ambassadors will earn a 10% commission on qualifying purchases attributed to their unique ambassador code.
Commission is calculated using the merchandise subtotal after applicable discounts.
Commission is not earned on:
- Shipping charges
- Sales or other applicable taxes
- Refunded purchases
- Cancelled orders
- Fraudulent transactions
- Chargebacks
- The ambassador’s own purchases
- Purchases for which the ambassador code was not successfully applied
- Other transactions determined to be ineligible under these Terms
A commission is earned only when an eligible transaction has been successfully completed and payment has been received.
5. Commission Payments
Ambassador commissions are reviewed and paid monthly, provided the ambassador has accumulated at least $10.00 in eligible commissions.
If an ambassador’s eligible commission balance is less than $10.00 at the end of a payment period, the balance will automatically roll over to the following month. The accumulated balance will continue to roll over until the $10.00 minimum payout threshold is reached.
For example, if an ambassador earns $4.00 in commission during one month, the $4.00 will remain in their account and carry forward. Once their accumulated eligible commissions reach at least $10.00, the balance will be included in the next monthly payment.
Commission payments will be issued using the ambassador’s approved payment method, such as PayPal or Venmo.
Ambassadors are responsible for providing and maintaining accurate payment information. If payment information is incorrect, incomplete, or unavailable, payment may be delayed until accurate information is provided.
A reasonable processing period may be applied before commissions become eligible for payment to allow time for order cancellations, refunds, payment disputes, fraud reviews, or chargebacks.
If an ambassador leaves or is removed from the program with an unpaid eligible commission balance below the $10.00 minimum payout threshold, any treatment of the remaining balance will be handled in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
Ambassadors are responsible for any taxes, reporting requirements, or other obligations associated with compensation received through the Heather Summers Book Ambassador Program.
6. Returns, Refunds, and Chargebacks
Commission is not payable on an order that is cancelled, refunded, disputed, fraudulent, or subject to a chargeback.
If commission has already been paid on a transaction that is later refunded or reversed, the corresponding commission may be deducted from future commission payments.
7. Ambassador Disclosure Requirements
Book Ambassadors must clearly disclose their relationship with the Heather Summers Book Ambassador Program whenever promoting the book using an ambassador code or other commission-earning method.
The disclosure must be clear and reasonably noticeable to the audience.
Examples include:
“I am a Heather Summers Book Ambassador and may earn a commission from purchases made using my code.”
or
“Ambassador link/code — I may earn a commission from qualifying purchases.”
Ambassadors are responsible for complying with applicable Federal Trade Commission endorsement and advertising requirements as well as the rules of any social media platform or website they use.
8. Honest Promotion
Ambassadors are encouraged to share their genuine experience with Navigating Co-Parenting.
Ambassadors may not:
- Make false, misleading, or deceptive statements about the book or author.
- Make guarantees regarding results a reader will experience.
- Use spam, unsolicited mass messaging, or deceptive advertising.
- Impersonate Heather Summers or represent themselves as an employee, agent, or official representative of Heather Summers.
- Create advertisements, websites, social media accounts, or other materials that could reasonably be mistaken for an official Heather Summers account or website.
- Misrepresent the terms of discounts, commissions, or promotions.
- Engage in conduct that could reasonably harm the reputation of the author, book, or Ambassador Program.
9. Reviews
Participation in the Book Ambassador Program does not require an ambassador to leave an Amazon review or a review on any other platform.
Any review an ambassador chooses to provide must reflect the ambassador’s genuine experience and must comply with the rules and policies of the platform where the review is posted.
Ambassadors should not represent that a positive review is required in exchange for participation, commissions, discounts, or other benefits.
10. Personal Purchases and Self-Referrals
Ambassador codes are intended to help ambassadors refer new customers.
Ambassadors may not earn commission on their own purchases.
Attempts to manipulate the program, generate artificial referrals, create fraudulent transactions, or otherwise misuse ambassador codes may result in cancellation of commissions and removal from the program.
11. Promotional Materials
Heather Summers may provide approved photographs, book covers, graphics, captions, descriptions, or other promotional materials to Book Ambassadors.
These materials may be used for the purpose of promoting eligible Heather Summers books and products while the ambassador is an active participant in the program.
Providing these materials does not transfer ownership or intellectual property rights to the ambassador.
Promotional materials may not be sold, substantially altered in a misleading manner, used to promote unrelated products, or represented as the ambassador’s own intellectual property.
12. Intellectual Property
The names “Heather Summers,” “Navigating Co-Parenting,” associated book covers, graphics, logos, photographs, written materials, and other protected content remain the property of their respective rights holders.
Participation in the Ambassador Program provides only a limited permission to use approved materials for authorized promotional purposes.
13. Independent Relationship
Participation in the Book Ambassador Program does not create an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, franchise, agency relationship, or other formal business relationship between Heather Summers and the ambassador.
Ambassadors participate independently and are responsible for determining when, where, and how they choose to promote the book, subject to these Terms.
14. Program Changes
The Heather Summers Book Ambassador Program may evolve over time.
Commission rates, customer discounts, qualifying products, payment procedures, eligibility requirements, promotional resources, and other program features may be modified.
When practical, active ambassadors will be notified of material changes before the changes apply to future transactions.
Changes will not retroactively reduce commissions that have already been earned on completed qualifying transactions.
15. Removal From the Program
Either the ambassador or Heather Summers may end participation in the Book Ambassador Program.
An ambassador may be removed for reasons including fraud, misuse of discount codes, deceptive promotion, failure to make required disclosures, violation of these Terms, conduct that materially harms the program or author brand, or other misuse of the program.
Upon removal, the ambassador must stop representing themselves as a Heather Summers Book Ambassador and discontinue unauthorized use of program promotional materials.
Valid commissions earned before termination will generally remain payable, subject to these Terms and any applicable refunds, chargebacks, fraud investigations, or other adjustments.
16. No Guarantee of Earnings
Participation in the Book Ambassador Program does not guarantee any particular amount of sales, commissions, income, or other results.
Ambassador earnings depend on qualifying purchases successfully attributed to the ambassador’s active discount code.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Heather Summers will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from participation in the Book Ambassador Program.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights or obligations that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
19. Contact
Questions regarding the Heather Summers Book Ambassador Program, commissions, discount codes, or these Terms & Conditions may be submitted through the contact information provided on hsummers.com.
20. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an application to the Heather Summers Book Ambassador Program, the applicant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Acceptance into the program is not automatic and remains subject to approval.
